    I administer a Facebook online yard sale page and need to find out if it is legal for homemade fudge and cake to be sold in Kentucky online? Am I correct in understanding the cottage law to say that only farmers may sell to the public? Any help is appreciated.

    I should add that the FB page is one serving Central Kentucky. It’s evident that the members posting have no licensure, inspection, Eric. They just want to bake their cakes, or make their fudge in their family kitchen and take orders on FB.

    That would all be illegal as far as I know. I’m not sure how strict central Kentucky is about following the laws though.

    Hi, I was just wondering if I could sell home-baked goods online out of state? I was wanting to open an online baking store, but I’m not sure if I can sell out of state.
