Hi there,
Funding has been discussed many times on my podcast.
Most people self-fund, get help from family/friends, or simply reinvest the money that their business earns.
But there
have also been guests who raised capital through crowd-funding (e.g. Kickstarter), traditional loans (banks), and even hosting an Investor Day (
Episode 65).
On
this week's podcast episode,
Tamara discusses another option: pitch competitions.
And Tamara has a lot of experience pitching her business. In fact, in the most recent competition,
she won $10k!You'll have to wait until the end of the episode to hear about that, but Tamara also talks about her journey from
long-time stay-at-home mom to successful entrepreneur.
Tamara is definitely a go-getter. Last year, she was
doing 5 markets per week! And now she is
transitioning to a commercial kitchen to be able to wholesale her granola in stores.
Tamara long dreamed of opening a food business, but
she put her dreams on hold to focus on family. And now she is living her dream!Listen to Episode 97: Healthy Grains, Wealthy Gains with Tamara KetchianUntil next week,
