I also just published a new podcast episode with Lisa Kivirist.

You may have heard of Lisa before... she co-authored the Homemade for Sale book, and has published a number of guests blog posts on Forrager.

She's also done a ton of other things to support the cottage food industry and women farmers, in particular.

On this episode, Lisa talks about living off the land, moving away from the corporate life-style, creatively packaging products, diversifying income streams, advocating for your laws, and everything in between.

I loved this line from the episode: "My mom still teases us by saying, 'How can you make a living in the middle of nowhere?' And my reply is, that’s not the right question. The right question is, 'How can we live on what we make?'"

Lisa also talked about the new, completely free resource that she and her farmer-led team just launched: cottagefoodhomebakery.com. Although it's aimed at farmers, really anyone can benefit from the display, packaging, and recipes ideas on the site. I think you'll want to see what they put together.
