I was wondering how does one find small, local cottage food vendors for public events? All the professional bakers I know are the bake shop variety. I am organizing a public event in Bethesda and would really like a woman baker or jam/jellies maker to attend it. I just do not know how to find and approach one. Please help.

Are drinks such as brewed coffee, juice from a pre-packaged bottle or lemonaid– to be sold at a home event. We will be selling handmade craft items, along with cookies and breads. Might we be allowed to ask for a donation for the drinks — that we would donate to a cause, but sell the craft and home-baked items for a profit? Fairfax County, VA. Thank you.

Are homemade cookies allowed in Fairfax County. We will be selling them along with handmade gifts — in my home driveway — similar to a garage sale setting. This would be an occasional event, and no items will be sold online or in a store. Thank you.

I noticed salad dressing is not mentioned, am I allowed to sell my home made salad dressing at a farmers market in NY?
Do I need to work in a commercial kitchen and get whatever licenses I need?
How do I find out if preservative is needed with my ingredients in salad…[Read more]Steve joined the group New York 7 years, 9 months ago

Good Morning, PA. I’m looking for residents in Montgomery (or Bucks) county who started a business baking from their home kitchen. This is something I’m looking to do and would like to connect with others who have done this to learn from their experiences. Thanks, Judy

Hey y’all,
So I’ve been trying to look into selling baked goods from home, and I’m trying to find out exactly what I have to do to do that…I ran into this website and read about the cottage food law and I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I live in Manassas, Virginia, and I was hoping someone might know who I…[Read more]- Load More
