Hi there,
Back in March, as we neared the end of
Leah's interview, I asked her what I ask all podcast guests: "What are your plans for the future?"
Little did I know that
she actually had very big plans in the works, but they weren't official or "public" yet.
So she responded with a generic answer, and
said she hoped to open a storefront someday.
But I pushed back. I basically said "This business has
already replaced your full-time income. You're already turning away a bunch of orders.
When exactly are you going to feel ready to open a storefront?"
And then she hemmed and hawed and tried coming up with an answer, and then she stopped.
She said, "I'm sorry, I can't lie to you. I actually have exciting news, but I can't tell anyone yet."
And my first thought was "Wow, this is
an amazing ending to an incredible journey! It's too bad we didn't wait a couple months to do this interview."
So I said, "How about this...
let's finish the interview by pretending that your news is already public. And then I'll wait to air the episode until it actually is."
And that's exactly what we did*, and I'm so glad! It's a unique ending to a very unique journey.
It's hard for me to imagine you not loving this episode!

* Fun fact: we actually recorded two endings to this episode, just in case her storefront deal fell through! But I'm glad I didn't have to use the other one. :)
