As a quick reminder, I am giving a free workshop next Thursday titled "Managing Your Money". And this week, I had someone on the podcast who is the absolute epitome of a "supermom". ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌      ͏ ‌
Hi there,

As a quick reminder, I am giving a free workshop next Thursday (9/9/21 @ 1pm PT / 4pm ET) titled "Managing Your Money". In the workshop I will show you how to setup a business bank account and use accounting software without spending a dime.

This week, I published a podcast episode with April Spencer, and I must admit, my jaw dropped during this interview!

You see, I went into the interview already knowing that April is absolutely crushing it with her custom cake business, and even managed to build a successful lollipop business on Etsy as well.

I also knew that April has three young kids, BUT I assumed that she was getting massive help with them in some form, such as her husband staying at home, grandparents helping, or hiring help.

So it was no surprise to me when April said that yes, they do hire a babysitter.

But then she continued, "...FOR ONE DAY A WEEK."

I was sitting there thinking, "Ummmm.... did I hear that right?"

Because as you probably know, I also have a 2-year-old at home, and he is quite a handful all by himself (to put it mildly). On the days that I'm watching Ray, not much else is happening!

I think April is the first podcast guest who has managed to run a full-time cake business while also being a nearly full-time stay-at-home mom of young kids. As I recall, only Liz Marek (Episodes 31 & 32) did something similar, but when she built her custom cake business, she only had one young child to manage at home, not three.

I tried my best to figure out exactly how April is doing it all, and I still don't really know, though at one point she did admit that she doesn't get much sleep!

But however she does it, there's a lot to learn from this episode! In addition to her advice for running a cake business and also building a successful Etsy shop, she shares how she's accrued thousands of social media followers.

Whether you only want to sell to your local area, or you want to ship your products nationwide, this episode has something for you!

Until next week,
David
