Hi there,
If you missed
Episode 100 last week, you're going to want to give it a listen!
In that episode, I mentioned a fudge giveaway, and
here are the winners:- Kelly Bireta
- Michael Sohn
- Nancy Henry
Congrats to them! And
if you missed that giveaway, fear not, because here's another one:
To celebrate this landmark episode,
Sari Kimbell (Ep. 59 & 60) is giving away a copy of her book, Key Ingredients. It's one of the best books for small food businesses, and 100% of the reviews on Amazon are 5 stars.
You don't need to leave a podcast review or do anything else special to participate in this book giveaway. Consider it a perk of being a subscriber of this newsletter!
Just reply to this email to say you'd like to participate, and you'll be entered.
And speaking of books, you should
listen to this extra clip from Episode 100 that didn't make the final cut.
In this clip,
Diana Shockley (Ep. 4) talks about the "golden circle" concept, which came from a book that transformed the way she leads her team. Good stuff!
Forraging ahead*,
David
* When I started the podcast in early 2020, I also committed myself to sending weekly emails (192 weeks and counting), and I felt compelled to add a closing to the emails for some reason. After thinking through a number of ideas, none of which particularly stood out to me, I finally decided on the closing of "Until next week, David". Super boring, I know. Then about a year ago, I saw someone close their email with "Forging ahead,". I've been thinking of switching my closing ever since, and I figured this Episode 100 milestone is as good an excuse as any to do so!
