Kathleen, it depends on your state, but if the state only allows direct sales, the likelihood is that you cannot offer CFO products. CFOs are often explicitly not food facilities, and food facilities cannot offer their products for sale. The cottage food laws are only if you want to use your home kitchen. You could use the cottage food law to sell your seasoning, but you’d have to adhere to the restrictions listed under the law.

Unless you are only selling dried herbs, spice mixes aren’t allowed in Missouri. http://forrager.com/law/missouri/
