The only way to legally sell meat empanadas is to use a commercial kitchen and get licensed with the health dept. Most likely you would rent someone else’s at an hourly rate. Here’s some more info about finding a commercial kitchen: https://forrager.com/faq/#commercial-kitchen

Hi,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. Ok, so I understand that meat empanadas are not permitted. Is there a way to apply for a license/permit and have a kitchen inspection done in order to sell meat empanadas?
Thanks again!David Crabill replied to the topic Empanadas in the forum Florida 2 years, 11 months ago
Although she can’t sell meat empanadas from home, she should be able to sell homemade fruit empanadas.

Hello,
My mother in law is considering selling empanadas from her home. I’m a little confused about if empanadas fall under the “allowed” category. If they are not considered an allowed category what information do we need to know to start selling from her home? Thank you so much in advance.Elena joined the group Florida 2 years, 11 months ago

Depending on what kind of setup you are looking for. I have found Print Papa is really affordable for smaller quantity. I have also used Lighting Labels and if you put in a big order (10,000+ labels) it’ll be worth it.
I have also used Got Print but only order when there is a sale.
I have heard Sticker Mule is good but have not really worked…[Read more]Joanne M Sell joined the group Packaging & Labeling 3 years, 3 months ago

I’m not an expert on this, but if expense is a primary concern, I don’t see how pre-printing is going to match the cost of doing it at home. Commercially printing is convenient and gives you more options, but I haven’t heard anyone say it’s inexpensive.

Sorry, Carol, there never was a reply to this and I have not found any pre-printed labels that were inexpensive enough for me to switch from using my laser printer.
Maybe we’ll be lucky and these two new messages in the thread will catch the eye of someone who can point us to a good source.
