Quick question– can I bake and sell my pumpkin and pecan pies to my co-workers at work without functioning as a cottage industry? In other words, if custard or cream-based products are prohibited under cottage industry regs, is there any way to legally bake and sell them? Thanks.

The only way to legally bake and sell them is to use a commercial kitchen and get the proper licensing. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial

If I could chime in regarding cookies…it’s coincidental that I had spent the last three weeks when I could perfecting the texture of these simple “Sugar Vanilla” Cookies. I think getting noticed is hard for any new business. Something that I struggle with is talking up my product at every spare moment, with whomever I meet, and doing so in a way that comes off as authentic and not awkward. Have you found some of your marketing efforts to be successful?
