    I want to start a cupcake & cookie business next year. I live in the city of North Port in Sarasota County. The baking side is a no brainer and I have read the CFL FAQ sheet so many times I almost have it memorized. I need help with the business side of things for my area. Where do I start? Any wisdom shared would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

      You should call your planning division and see if there are any requirements for your area. You may need to get a business license, for instance. You should be classified as a sole proprietorship and if you feel you need to protect your business or assets, consider getting insurance.
