I don’t know exactly why, but it seems to affect all populous states. CA and TX have had to go through major efforts to get their laws to be reasonable. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on selling baked goods at local flea/farmer’s markets? I know that produce sells pretty well, but I’ve not seen a lot of baked goods (not here in AK anyways). It is a non-PHF, but your state probably has different rules for vendors producing on-site at a market (the cottage food law is for items prepared at home). You should check with your area’s ag or health dept.

I left some more info in my response to your comment on the law page, but basically, the relationships you establish with customers are everything. My suggestion would be to wait until this is actually a problem before worrying about it.
