Sorry I didn’t see this sooner, Wanda! Try entering “Spiro, OK”, and that should work.

Dylan, thanks so much for getting in touch with me. I’ll address each point below, but first, I think it’s important to note that Forrager is not intended to be totally comprehensive of all information for starting a CFO. There is plenty of additional info that could go on any given law page, but I’ve just tried to include the essentials so that…[Read more]

Last week, CFO and product pages got a design refresh that widens them and puts info tabs on your pages right where they should be — at the top. All that extra space has made room for a new “custom tabs” feature that will allow CFO Pro members to greatly customize their listings. Also, say goodbye to the product listing limit!

Today we moved our CFO Pro plan out of beta, and it now costs $5 per month. Thanks to everyone who tried it out while it was in beta!

Forrager’s laws and CFOs pages now have filtering capabilities, which make it much easier to find information. Now you can answer questions like “Which states allow online sales?” and “Who makes granola in Nevada?” You can even answer more complex questions like “Who makes gluten-free birthday cakes in California?” The new filter dropdowns are…[Read more]

I wanted to use the kitchen in the basement apartment of our house for baking and selling cupcakes. The apartment was rented out by the previous owners of the house but we just want to use the kitchen. Would that be ok?

As far as I know, having a pet anywhere in your home prohibits you from being able to sell homemade food. Your dog can never enter the house. I believe the ruling is that pets cannot be “in the building” of any business that manufactures food for sale.
You should be using your home’s kitchen… if you wanted to build or use a separate kitchen on…[Read more]

Usually when rules state that business supplies need to be kept separate, it means that they need to be in their own cupboard or own shelf. You should have a designated area where you put them, though that area doesn’t need to be cordoned off from everything else. If you store things in the fridge, you usually don’t need to have a separate fridge…[Read more]
