I’ve been selling spices and tea from home for 6+ years. Recently I was asked to supply a gift shop with tea. If I package my tea in an inspected kitchen, could I do this? Or am I not allowed because I already sell from home?

Hi, I’m working on starting a CFO but I don’t know if I can as I live with my mother. Do I have to own the home or just need her permission? Worst case I can add her as an owner and open an llc but I’d rather avoid that if I can! Please help!

Hello All … I am having a bit of trouble finding information on whether or not I can use alcohol (bourbon) in my caramel candy recipe. I have a recipe that calls for 1/4 cup of bourbon and it makes around 80 pieces of candy. Yes, David, I agree, they are strict! And it is seemingly near impossible for me to locate an affordable one. The one the DC govt suggested I buy is $300. So, now I’m a little discouraged.

Wow that’s surprising that they’re that strict! I have never looked into NTEP scales, so I’d be interested to hear what you learn.
