Just based on their application, I believe that pets are never allowed in the home, but you should confirm that with the health dept. If you operated out of a separate building, it would probably have to be a commercial kitchen.

It depends, but I think in most cases, it’s a good idea. Or put the prices on your website and link to that from Facebook. It’s not always possible to have fixed prices on certain items, but if you have specific rates, you might as well be transparent about that. Yes, you would need a permit. I believe it would be the same permit that you’d need if you were actually making the cookies and bread.

Yes, you should be able to sell from your home, assuming you have your landlord’s permission.

Sorry, I’m not sure, but I know that it wouldn’t fall under the cottage food law. You should contact the health dept for more info.

I think getting noticed is hard for any new business. Something that I struggle with is talking up my product at every spare moment, with whomever I meet, and doing so in a way that comes off as authentic and not awkward. Have you found some of your marketing efforts to be successful?
