Last week, CFO and product pages got a design refresh that widens them and puts info tabs on your pages right where they should be — at the top. All that extra space has made room for a new “custom tabs” feature that will allow CFO Pro members to greatly customize their listings. Also, say goodbye to the product listing limit!

CFO and product pages just got a makeover! We dropped the sidebar and moved info tabs to the top, which will hopefully make these pages easier to use.

Stephanie, the law page only gives an overview, but it’s best to read the law yourself: http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/cf_pdf/2013-14%20ENR/hB/HB1094%20ENR.PDF
Most of the things you’re trying to confirm are correct, so I’ll only point out deviations. The allowed foods list give a general overview: it is not intended to be comprehensive, but…[Read more]

Today we moved our CFO Pro plan out of beta, and it now costs $5 per month. Thanks to everyone who tried it out while it was in beta!

Forrager’s laws and CFOs pages now have filtering capabilities, which make it much easier to find information. Now you can answer questions like “Which states allow online sales?” and “Who makes granola in Nevada?” You can even answer more complex questions like “Who makes gluten-free birthday cakes in California?” The new filter dropdowns are…[Read more]

From what I’ve heard, it’s supposed to be at your home, and pickup only. For what it’s worth, many many CFOs run businesses from their homes across the country, and I’ve never heard of there being a problem. Custom cake makers, especially, have to do things from home because they can’t sell at places like farmers markets. Usually, although the…[Read more]

Can you deliver? Or is it pick up only?

I don’t know why they would say only at your home. That can be very dangerous! I really don’t want strangers at my house and aroumd my kids. Seems like it would be ok to meet at a public place. Too many bad things could happen meeting at your home. Heard to many bad stories with Craigslist.

David replied to the topic Selling homemade toffee in the forum Oklahoma 10 years, 8 months ago
Oklahoma only allows baked goods under their cottage food law. Therefore, you’d need to use a commercial kitchen to run your business. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial

Wouldn’t toffee be categorized under “baked goods” along with candy? Or does candy making require a commercial kitchen?
Doesn’t the cook process for toffee happen on a stove? I don’t think toffee would be considered a baked good, even if a little baking were the last step. I’m pretty sure you need a commercial kitchen to make candy.
