Hello All … I am having a bit of trouble finding information on whether or not I can use alcohol (bourbon) in my caramel candy recipe. I have a recipe that calls for 1/4 cup of bourbon and it makes around 80 pieces of candy. Yes, many people do this. Usually the barriers to entry for selling non-food items are lower. You could likely do it under the same general business license that you get for your cottage food business, but you might need a different sellers permit depending on what you’re selling.
