Yes, that should be allowed as long as you are personally selling the items at the concession stand.
March 14, 2016 at 8:56 pm #30861Sorry, you wouldn’t be able to use the cottage food law for either of those items. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial
March 12, 2016 at 9:39 pm #30838You’ll need to get licenses for all three (maybe not #2), but I’m not sure which ones. You must prepare the water kefir in a commercial kitchen. For #1 and #2, contact the health dept. For #3, contact the ag dept.
March 11, 2016 at 7:53 am #30828Jackie, I’m not aware of the specifics for NV, but everything you said sounds about right. If you are only going to sell one cake per month, then I suggest you save some money and just give away the cake for free.
March 11, 2016 at 7:49 am #30827Vinegars probably aren’t allowed, but I’m not 100% sure, so you should contact the ag dept.
March 4, 2016 at 10:31 am #30739Elizabeth, thanks for letting us know. I’ll update the page by the end of the weekend.
March 4, 2016 at 10:25 am #30737The only legal way to sell homemade food online is to build a commercial kitchen in your home, have the health dept approve and inspect it, and use that to start your commercial food business. I’d highly recommend finding an already existing commercial kitchen instead. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial
February 24, 2016 at 9:03 pm #307211. No, but you need the landlord’s permission.
2. Yes
3. Usually basic stuff, like cleanliness, proper hot water and fridge temps, plus making sure you know how to sanitize things. It will probably be easier than you’re expecting.February 23, 2016 at 1:08 am #30711Yes, there should be an exemption that you can use. http://forrager.com/faq/#nonprofit
February 19, 2016 at 12:58 am #30701No, that’s not allowed and you will need to produce it in a commercial kitchen. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial
