Hi! I recently started my cookie business and signed up for a TPT. I went onto my states tax website and it shows me classified as retail 027, use tax 029, and retail sales for home consumption 062. Does that sounds familiar for anyone else?

Hi there! My county does not allow customers to come to my home. Does Virginia cottage laws allow for face to face delivery? Thanks!

That is correct. You can read the law here: https://law.justia.com/codes/louisiana/revised-statutes/title-40/rs-40-4-9/

So it seems Louisiana may be one of the few states that allow cheesecakes to be prepared in a cottage kitchen as long as i use pasteurized milk products. Is that correct?

I have a question regarding labels. Can anyone suggest a good in expensive label maker?

If it passes it would be positive. It wouldn’t change anything about the existing law, but would give another avenue for people to sell with less red tape, and also a way to sell acidified and fermented foods.
