Hello. Starting a Charcuterie business out of home. Are dried meats form purveyors allowed and or other dried meats. I am not making at home. boarding items like a gift basket idea and delivering. where can I find if this is allowed. I see the list of items allowed and not but that is not on there…appreciate direction. thank you.

Hey All! I’m new to Forrager and anxious to learn all I can! I have to eat guten free, so don’t have anything in my kitchen that contains wheat gluten. I bake a variety of muffins and love trying new additives to mix flavors, etc. Very excited to get started for the holidays!

I’m a “newby” in Forrager! Very excited too! I make gluten free items specifically due to my own diet restrictions. I make a lot of Fudge and I use various size tins lined with wax paper or foil. I would recommend talking with the health dept about what they’d be okay with. Some officials are more strict than others.
Also, I’ll add that despite the ridiculous requirement (IMHO) of having a startup submit every possible label variation before they’ve even started their business, in my experience most people do tweak their recipes…[Read more]
