Hi Anna, you have all the resources to build a website right here in Forrager. I used David Crabill’s video and created my own website, and so can you. Just go to the menu, choose resources & then pick learn. Find the lesson for Square Online & follow David’s instructions. He breaks it down so you can understand it & do it yourself. I’ve been…[Read more]

I’ve recently started off a Cupcake business for myself and I really need a website done as most of my customers are struggling to find my business on the web. I just need a website which can showcase the different sweets and everything I bake and maybe even a direct purchasing page. Anyone has any suggestions?

But now that I’m looking for events to set up at, I’m disappointed to see how many require that food sales be prepared in a commercial kitchen. This is a side project for me so the added cost of using a Com Kitchen will not work for…[Read more]

Has anyone done this? Would I then NOT be exempt from having SS counters, 3-compartment sink, and…[Read more]
I’m not sure what the requirements are but yes people have done this. Here’s an example of a mother-daughter team who put a commercial kitchen into their home: https://www.thedessertstudioutah.com/

I can’t remember… do they ask for a NAICS code?
If so, then it depends on your business, but most cottage foods businesses would use either code 445291 (Baked Goods Stores) or 445292 (Confectionary and Nut Stores).
Here’s the link: https://www.naics.com/naics-code-description/?code=4452

I’m surprised that there are that many that don’t allow homemade food. Have you spoken with the market managers to confirm that they’re aware of the new law and they are intentionally preventing home food businesses from selling there?
