Can someone please help me decipher the Alaska CF laws with regard to products containing meat (ie: meat pies)? It looks like it is allowed but this site states otherwise. Appreciate some insight!

Hi! My question is this.
Tennessee does not allow any dairy, eggs, butter or soft cheeses in frosting.
I can’t across a recipe for Ermine Frosting substituting shortening for the called for butter.
If I did this, would that be allowed under current Food Freedom Act?

Putting cake mix on the label is definitely not sufficient. You need to copy the ingredients from the box to put on your label.
Tennessee is one of the only states that doesn’t seem to require things to be individually packaged. But I do think they’d prefer individual packaging where that’s reasonable or expected. A bulk container situation would…[Read more]

Labeling for cupcakes : can I have one place card in front of the items or does everything need to be individually labeled? Also – can I put “ Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix “ as the ingredients? Or does it all need to be copy and pasted from box?

Yes they are allowed. And you would copy the entire ingredient list from the Skittles bag.
