Thanks for making me aware of that law text. I wasn’t aware of it and it is different from MO’s previous cottage food law. I agree that under that rule, you should be able to sell muesli from a stand. Hi, From what I understand, you are not allowed to sell pies that are custard filled, cream filled, etc… due to refrigeration? Is this correct?

Yes that is correct. No custard or cream filled pies.

  Thanks for your reply. I would love to allow cottage food businesses at our market so very disappointed our county health won’t allow it. I would also love it if our health dept was the best place for information. Unfortunately, they don’t even seem knowledgeable on some things.
