Last week I spoke with my state representative. He was not a member of the state house at the time the Illinois law was enacted. I told him about the law and stated that I can sell (after following rules) at a Farmers Market, but I cannot hand the same cake to someone at the door. He asked, “why not? ” and promised to look into it. I followed up with a letter to his office. I would be happy to share the letter with other Illinois bakers.
