I read this the newest version of the Approved Cottage Foods list (Sept 15, 2022): “EXTRACTSCONTAININGATLEAST70PROOFOR35%FOOD-GRADEFOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION ETHANOL/ALCOHOL.
Only those listed or combinations of those listed are allowed.”

The bill, AB 1144, passed. CFOs can ship their products within CA starting in 2022.

Just want to chime in that having a seller’s permit will also allow you to purchase some items with tax exemption. Make sure to ask the places you purchase packagings and equipment from to see if they have something like that. A good place to keep costs down.

What are the rules for selling vanilla extract? Is it allowed?
It’s not clear whether or not Nevada allows extracts. It might vary depending on county. I’d recommend contacting your local health dept.
