In NY it says you can make spice and seasoning mixes with commercially dried herbs and spices for repackaging. Can I use peppers that I grow and dehydrate to make my own powders and seasonings?

I don’t think that spice blends are allowed, but I’m not completely sure, since the law recently changed. If you could sell them, it would only be at farmers markets. You can contact the health dept to check.

No — to sell pet food in Illinois, you need to use an approved facility, and you need to contact the ag dept.

The cottage food laws are only if you want to use your home kitchen. You could use the cottage food law to sell your seasoning, but you’d have to adhere to the restrictions listed under the law.

Unless you are only selling dried herbs, spice mixes aren’t allowed in Missouri. http://forrager.com/law/missouri/

It depends on the state. They’re allowed in a number of states.

As a Personal Chef, I often prepare breakfast items, in the client’s home, which can be frozen and enjoyed at a later date. As of now, I am combining all of the ingredients in the client’s kitchen.
