Almost a decade ago, I started building my first website. My professor, Dr. Fuller, gave me the seemingly simple homework assignment of creating a basic one-page website. After three hours of working on the […]

Mary, yes, I remember your diligent efforts in OK to get the law passed. Is there something you need before you can help clients?

Thanks for the kind words Anne. I see that you humbly declined to mention all of the work that you are doing to assist cottage food producers in Colorado!

No — CFOs must sell their products to the final consumer.

As long as you get a residential kitchen license, you should be able to sell to stores, though I’m not sure if there’s extra licensing required, like a wholesale license.

I don’t understand it either.
You’ll have to check with zoning laws before you can establish a pickup area, and you may have to get some kind of permit.

Yeah it’s unfortunate, but I don’t think of the folks who create spam as being evil or anything. They’re just trying to make some money, albeit in a very irritating way.

David Crabill replied to the topic Kettle Corn in the forum Ohio 8 years, 5 months ago
You don’t need any permit from the ag dept to sell kettle corn in-person or to grocery stores and restaurants, but there may be local requirements, like a business license. Also, you probably can’t sell anywhere, since zoning laws restrict where business activities can take place. http://forrager.com/faq/#starting

Charlotte, it hasn’t changed, and I don’t think it will change anytime soon. You will need to use a commercial kitchen. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial

I don’t have specific recommendations, but I would suggest finding bakeries in your area that sell GF foods, and see what suppliers they use.
David replied to the topic Can we sell Rabbit meats? in the forum Virginia 8 years, 5 months ago
I know that you’d need to prepare the rabbits in an inspected facility, but I don’t know much more than that. You need to contact the ag dept for more info.
