Hi I am new to this kind of business but I don’t want to take the wrong steps either
So the gist of what I get from reading all the information from the forums and state websites is that the bottom line is we do need to get a business license regardless of the cottage laws that states that you can start cooking and selling right off the bat.…[Read more]Varghese Thomas joined the group Florida 4 years, 4 months ago

How much is taken out in taxes from gross sales? Specifically for a cottage bakery selling cookies in Fl.
I would be exempt from charging and paying sales tax, as my cookies are packaged and eaten off my premises. I am asking about local and state. Do you just contact your local tax office and say you are starting a cookie business? I’m sure they’ll take care of the rest, but curious on how much will be due based on sales.

Hi everyone. About to make home made Artisan bread from my kitchen. I want to set a table up in my driveway to sell them. Live in Largo Florida ( Pinellas County ). Anyone know if this is allowed ? Pinellas county said they have NO restrictions. Not sure about Largo.
