    Anybody Can Bake

Baking is an age-old practice that has been an integral part of human civilization for centuries. The history of baking can be traced back to the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome, where bread and other baked goods were an essential part of daily life. Over time, baking techniques and ingredients have evolved, but the importance of baking to mankind remains unchanged.

In ancient Egypt, baking was a highly respected profession, and bakers were considered skilled artisans. They were responsible for making bread for the pharaohs, nobles, and common people. The Egyptians were the first to use yeast in their bread-making process, which gave rise to the fluffy and light-textured bread we know today.

The Greeks and Romans also valued baking and introduced new techniques and ingredients to the practice. They discovered that adding honey and milk to their bread dough made it sweeter and more flavorful. They also invented the first oven, which was made of brick and clay and heated with wood or coal.
