    Hi there! I am located in Virginia and would like to start an online food business, so I can deliver through the mail across state lines. What kinds of license(s) do I need for this? Does it depend on the foods I am selling, or is there a standard license(s) and/or process for getting this started? Who would you recommend I speak with?

    Interstate sales in Virginia are not allowed with the cottage food law. You need to get a commercial license.
