I want to sell cakes and things like that, I have read about the farmers market and selling stuff there which I understand but I want to try to make as much money as I can hopefully more than 5000 a year… I found a commercial kitchen I can rent, but would I need a license for selling and making more than the 5000? I understand that I can’t sell from my house but if I could store it at the commercial kitchen or something would I than be able to deliver to people? It’s a little confusing..

The $5,000 limit only pertains to those operating under the cottage food law (only making at home and selling at events/farmers markets). If you’re not using that law, then you need to get a commercial license and use a commercial kitchen, and you will need to go through the setup process with the health dept before you do any sales. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial
