I want to start selling bread made at home, which I understand is allowable with Iowa’s cottage food law. My question is, can I deliver loaves to friends who might purchase from me? If they want a loaf of bread and I’m going to see them at church or have plans with them, can I just bring the bread with me and drop it off? Or is it only allowable if they literally come to my house and pick it up? I’ve scoured several websites having to do with with these food prep laws and I can’t find this information anywhere.
