Just in case you got bogged down in election coverage, I have something this week that stands in stark contrast to it.
That's because, unlike many of the people making headlines this week,
this week's podcast guest is completely selfless.
Many of my podcast guests have given a portion of their proceeds to charitable causes, but I'm pretty sure Joan is
the most charity-focused entrepreneur that I've had on the show.
In fact, raising money for charity is the sole reason her cottage food business even exists!
Although Joan has done quite well with her business and
has raised thousands of dollars for charity, her current level of success was actually somewhat fortuitous.
That's because
she actually tried to shutdown the business a few years ago, but (as she would say) God had other plans.
And that led her to do
a full rebrand, which provided a dramatic boost to her sales.
All in all, it's a great story of a great entrepreneur. And IMHO,
