Hi there,
UNIQUE.That's the word I'd use to describe
this week's podcast episode.
It starts with Connie & Rick's product, which is definitely unique. Have you
ever heard of meatless pork rinds? Me neither.
How they discovered the product was also very unique. They are the first guests I've had that
stole somebody else's business model and implemented it in their area. But they didn't really steal it, since the owner gave them the keys to the kingdom.
I've also never heard of anyone get
invited by the ag dept to sell at different events (including the state fair). My jaw dropped on that one.
It's also not common for an early-stage business to have
production be a much bigger problem than marketing.
Nor have I heard of someone that's gotten their
products accepted at every single store they've asked.
So yeah, the whole episode is unique for sure.
Which is another way of saying that it's uncommon.
After the interview, I sat back and tried to figure it out.
How does this episode apply to other entrepreneurs? Why do Connie & Rick seem to get endlessly lucky?
And then it dawned on me...
it's all about networking. (plus a good dose of hustle too)
As you listen, pay attention to how many times Connie & Rick's business opportunities were directly tied to their ability to connect with people. It's unreal.
Now don't get me wrong... there's plenty more to take away from this episode. But this was my big one:
The more connections you make, the more opportunities you'll have. You gotta listen. You're gonna love Connie & Rick!
Listen to Episode 68: Makin' Friends, Sellin' Food, Havin' Fun with Connie & Rick MartinUntil next week,

P.S. If nothing else,
you need to listen to their state fair story. It's crazy!
