Hi there,
I've featured a lot of crazy cottage food stories on the podcast, and
this one is up there!
In fact, few episodes have featured this
many unexpected twists:- Wynter never planned to start a business, but then started it in 2 days after a friend suggested it
- She thought it would be focused on one thing, but it ended up going it a different direction
- She invested in a storefront, but then couldn't use it for 3 whole years (?!)
- She started a FB group on a whim, which grew to 35k+ members
So yeah,
it's pretty crazy.
But there is one other part of the episode I want to highlight, which might not stand out to you as you listen.
Wynter mentions that
she makes little profit on her fancy products, which is the opposite of what you'd expect. You'd think the high-end items would have high profit margins.
She explains why she does this, and it's
in stark contrast to most of my guests, who say they use the same pricing formula for everything. I think Wynter's method makes a lot of sense, and
it's something you should consider!Listen to Episode 128: Wynter Hosier with Etta's Gooey GoodiesForraging ahead,
