Hi there,
Finally, I have someone on the podcast from the first state to ever create a cottage food law: Vermont!
This is definitely
the largest business I've ever featured on the podcast, and interestingly, Mark and his wife started their business from home with very little hope or ambition to ever make it big.
Perhaps that's part of the reason
they weren't afraid to sell their chocolates online back in 1998, at a time when exceedingly few food businesses were doing so. In many ways,
they were pioneers, and in fact, they were the first ever chocolate business to be 100% nut free.
This episode will give you a window into
what larger food businesses and factories have to think about as they scale, but there's definitely still
plenty of great info in here for those just starting out!Listen to Episode 112: Mark Elvidge with Vermont Nut Free ChocolatesForraging ahead,
