Hi there,
First of all, thanks to everyone who responded to last week's email about my new free mini-course. The response was overwhelming, and not only does it strengthen my commitment to completing the mini-course ASAP, but the ideas shared will also shape the direction of it.
The topic of "pricing" was the most requested topic that I didn't have on my original list. That helped clarify that pricing needs to be a separate lesson, rather than be included in another one.
I'm not sure yet when the mini-course will be ready, but there's a lot of excitement around it, so it's definitely a top priority of mine!
I just published my
tenth podcast episode, and it's my first one with a custom cookie decorator. I spoke with Tina Karnath of Saginaw, MI, who runs the Chunky Chicken Cookie Company.
When it comes to cookie cutters, Tina is a true collector. She doesn't know how many she has, but she did count 500 in her Christmas bin last year, so I assume she has thousands!
But what's most impressive is how she's used them to create hundreds of different designs, showcased on her Facebook and Instagram accounts. To date, she said she hasn't had a single dissatisfied customer, and based on her photos, I can believe it.
Listen in to hear Tina talk about how she manages to custom decorate hundreds of cookies each week, and how Mary Poopins (not a typo) inspired her business name. She also shared her philosophy about putting life onto cookies to make the world a happier place.
Listen to Episode 10: The Cookie Cutter Queen with Tina KarnathFinally, on the technical front, I made a change to the login system on Forrager to try to combat spam. These spam issues crop up from time to time, and are super annoying!
I'm sorry if you've received a spam message through the site, and please know that although I do my best to try to mitigate this from happening, the bots are persistent! They are always trying to find new ways to get in and mess things up. :)
Anyway, this login change shouldn't affect your login process at all (there's a slight chance you'll need to reset your password), but I did want to acknowledge some of the recent issues and let you know that it's hopefully better now. Time will tell.
Until next week,
David
