Hi there,

If you attended the cottage food conference last month, you'll probably recognize this week's podcast guest! (Barbara's workshop was right after my keynote)

Barbara is the only person I know that legally uses the cottage food law in TWO states.

People often ask me if they can sell in another state (especially if they live on a state border, like Barbara does). And usually, I tell them no, technically that's not allowed in most cases.

But Barbara has gone to lengths that most people wouldn't consider, and she's made it work!

Certainly her business is very unique in that sense, but I think the real power in this episode comes in the latter half, when she starts talking about networking.

Simply put, if you want to network more effectively, you should start thinking the way Barbara does. Even if you actively put yourself out there by attending vendor events, you are likely still missing opportunities right in front of you!

And if you have kids at home, you'll be interested to hear how Barbara built this business with her daughter!

Until next week,
