Hi there,

It's official: in-person sales are out of style these days. And online orders are more popular than ever. :)

Never before has it been more important to have a strong online presence!

That's why I'm hosting a live online (and free) workshop next week about how to build a website for your cottage food business.

As you may know, I've been a web developer for over a decade, so I'm extra prepared to answer any questions you throw at me in the chatroom!

Already have a website? I hope you'll still get a lot out of it... I will be covering best-practices and techniques that you can use on your existing site.

And you'll also learn why I didn't use Wordpress for my fudge business, even though I'm a Wordpress developer.

The workshop will be next Wednesday, May 6th at 11am PT / 2pm ET. If you can't make that time*, sign up anyway and I'll send you the replay when it's available.

Also, I just published a new podcast episode with Sonia Chang, and it's fantastic for anyone interested in wholesaling their products.

Actually, even if you don't want to wholesale, I think you'll get a lot out of it. I know I did!

Sonia's story is quite fascinating. She's sold her granola in over two dozen locations, and shares many marketing strategies she used. I particularly liked her "leap frog" and "flavor profile" methods.

And listen in to learn why she bought and operated a successful cupcakery, even though she never planned to sell cupcakes!

* When I did the last workshop, some people wished it was in the evening, after work. The reason I'm keeping the same time is simple: that's when I can have the house to myself! Tara, baby Ray, and our two dogs would certainly add a more spontaneous (and stressful?) element to the live workshop. :)
