Hi there,
Here is a strange fact:
Forrager only exists because of cookies.
Chocolate chip cookies, to be precise.
If I didn't grow up baking cookies, I never would have wanted to start a cottage food business, and I never would have created Forrager.
So it should come as no surprise that
I love the business name that
this week's podcast guest chose: Men Bake Cookies.
But unlike me, Mike actually didn't grow up baking cookies. He just sort of stumbled upon it one day, and
quickly went all-in on not just baking, but also selling cookies.
Like, a LOT of cookies. And not just chocolate chip cookies, but custom-decorated and quarter-pound cookies.
Few people go pedal-to-the-medal with their business like Mike did (especially with a full-time job and a family as well), but
Mike's passionate approach has certainly paid off in a big way!

David
P.S. If you've wondered whether you should get a trademark, we talked a bit about that towards the end of the episode. Mike is one of the few guests that I've had that has applied for a trademark for his business, and he did it without using a trademark attorney.
