Jewel has already appeared on
3 Food Network cake competitions, and she'll be on a fourth competition in October.
When she's not making cakes for national television, she sells them with her
hyper-niched (and high-end) cottage food business.
Jewel is certainly an expert cake artist today, but you might be surprised by
how little experience she had when she got her first call to audition for Halloween Wars.
But what she lacked in experience, she made up for in persistence. In fact,
for the first 5 years of her business, she made cakes Every. Single. Day. Whether or not she had orders. On top of her full-time job.
And it's paid off. She now only says "yes" to orders that will bring her joy!
