Hi there,
A few months ago, I tried some new packaging for my fudge and needed some nice photos to showcase it.
But here's the thing: setting up props and interior design is not my strength. (just ask my wife, LOL)
In the past, I've spent well over an hour just trying to get a few good shots of my products.
But this time, I thought: I wonder what AI could do?
So I just
took a basic photo of my product with my smartphone (a decidedly non-impressive photo, might I add).
Then
I gave it to Google's Gemini AI tool (the free version) and asked it to make it look better.
And wow, even I couldn't believe what it did!
Here is a short video showing the difference. (my first foray into YouTube Shorts, BTW)
I now think that
this is going to completely change how cottage food entrepreneurs create product images.
It used to be that you either had to have a great eye for design, or hire a professional photographer to get great photos, but not anymore.
This
will vastly shorten the amount of time it takes to create beautiful images for your products, and will save you a lot of money too.
So the next time you need to post a product image on social, I encourage you to
put your image into an AI tool like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Canva, and see what it can do! It's easier than you think, and you'll be amazed too.
Forraging ahead,
David
P.S. If you want to see the full walkthrough of how I did this, I created
this tutorial for
Cottage Food Pro members, which you can access for just $5.
