It's
a rare occurrence: the two-part episode.
But during
my interview with Lisa, I quickly realized that there was no way I wanted to try to fit her story into a single episode.
That's partly because she's done so much: built a thriving cottage bakery, appeared on national TV multiple times, built a baking supply business, built an online course business, and built a software company.
But it's also because her interview felt a lot different than most. To me,
it felt a bit more like a conversation, and less like an interview.
So we talked about things like her childhood, her parents, her culture, etc... all
things that might not initially seem super relevant to her cottage food ventures.
But I think they are very relevant. What type of person would dedicate so much of their life (and, at times, their emotional well-being) to supporting this industry?
I didn't just want to learn about what Lisa has done with her businesses;
I wanted to understand who she is as a person.So please
