As of this year,
there is a new requirement for most business entities, and the deadline is fast approaching!
This only applies if your business is separate from yourself, so
if you have a sole proprietorship or partnership (with a DBA, or doing business as), you can disregard this email.But
if you have an LLC or corporation (e.g. S-corp), you must file a new kind of report by January 1st, 2025.
It's called
the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report. Fortunately, filing the report is
easy and free to do, and it's a one-time thing.
