Hi there,
It's once again time to see which states are trying to improve their cottage food laws this year!
And this time, I finally
added a big feature to Forrager that I've been wanting to add for a long time!
In addition to Forrager's popular
law pages, I now have something new on the site: bill pages!
These new bill pages make a lot of things possible:
- You can now see a map view of the bills, along with a nice table below for details
- And for even more details, you can click to open each individual bill page
- The map automatically updates when I add/update bills
- You can filter bills by state, law type (cottage food, food freedom, micro restaurant), and bill status (enacted, passed, in progress, failed)
And coming soon, I will be adding pages for all previous bills, which will:
- Create bill maps for each year, allowing you to easily see trends from year to year
- Allow you to see more bill info in the Resources section of each law page
I know that all might sound a little overwhelming or confusing.
To clear things up, just head over to the
2022 Cottage Food Bills map page. You'll see what I mean!
These are the states that are on the 2022 map so far:
- Arizona
- California
- Hawaii
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Michigan
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Washington
BUT those are just the ones I've heard about so far.
I'm sure there are more!If you know of a bill for this year that should be on the map, please let me know!
