Hello guys, my brother and I will start selling our spice products from Turkey. We will import spices like Aleppo pepper, oregano(thyme), sumac, and other herbs. I live in Massachusetts and my brother lives in Pennsylvania. We will contact local suppliers from Turkey to buy spices and sell them here. However, we don’t have much information about FDA rules and local cottage food laws. I am wondering if we need a resident kitchen permit or a commercial kitchen permit. Because we are planning to buy products bulks then package, label them here. I have some questions about FDA rules and necessary tests when importing spices. Also which state would be best for selling spice for home-based business?
