Can I make soup out of my home under VA cottage law? My soup would be sold cold for customers to reheat in their home, so refrigeration is required. Any info is much appreciated!

As long as it doesn’t contain meat, I believe you could set yourself up as a home food processing operation: http://forrager.com/law/virginia-home-food-processing-operation/

Did you find out if you can sell soup under the VA cottage laws? I am wondering if bone broth would fall under the law.

Kristin, my assumption is that bone broth would not be allowed, but you should check with the ag dept.
