It looks like Cook County doesn’t allow me to sell perishable items made in my home kitchen. Does anyone know if I rent a commercial kitchen to bake in, can I sell perishable items (i.e. quiche, low acidic pies)?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can start any kind of food business if you use a commercial kitchen, but you’ll also need to get the necessary licenses to run your business, which can be complicated.

Hello, bbq caterer. preordered and delivered.. Can’t find a shared kitchen accommodating my cooking style. Can’t afford commercial space. Can I bbq outdoors my home kitchen and prepare orders in my home kitchen and deliver the orders. I charcoalwood smoked ribs. I have my Sanitation Certification Health Department. I have Tax Certificate. In process of Food Product Insurance.
    ThankYou.
