My wife and I are looking to launch a business selling dairy-free, vegan ice pops. Ideally we’d like to make this out of our home as we get started. These items would contain no dairy or animal products whatsoever but would contain fruit.

Is there any precedent of this being eligible to be a CFO? I read about another ice pop business up in Berkeley that was able to go this route, but haven’t been able to find any details.

You won’t be able to use the cottage food law and make your ice pops at home. You should probably double check to make sure that that Berkeley business is actually legal. http://forrager.com/faq/#commercial
