    Is it legal to sell pecan pie as a California CFO? It’s not on the approved or excluded list. Tried contacting the Department of Health, but haven’t heard back. Anyone have any info on this?

    Also, do Farmers’ Markets in the Los Angeles area allow CFO vendors to sell? I know that the law allows it, but most FM websites that I’ve looked at say they require all prepackaged baked goods to be baked in a commercial kitchen.

    Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Assuming that your pie has some eggs in it, it wouldn’t be allowed, but it will be interesting to see what the health dept says.

    A lot of farmers markets don’t allow CFOs, but some do.
